About the job

Akiak Technology is looking for a Project Management Analyst to oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as the liaison between project management and planning, project team, and capture management. You will work closely with the Company leadership team supporting activities that drive success and delivery for effective operations across the portfolio. Expect to get up to speed quickly and contribute to new projects and enjoy solving complex problems in a fast-paced environment.

 

 Responsibilities:

  • Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.

  • Assesses project status issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, team leads, and clients.
  • Develop and execute a variety of reports for financial reporting and analysis. Utilize Business Intelligence tool, contract management system, invoice payment processing system, electronic HR records system, travel system, debt management system, credit card system, and a variety of tools to support detailed analyses.
  • Coordinate and participate in routine project management reviews and track activities related to HR (job description creation, recruiting, onboarding), project billing, project capture plans, and metrics.
  • Knowledge of process on how to initiate, maintain, and document personnel security investigations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and effectively communicate all security issues to the Facility Security Official (FSO) immediately.
  • Manage all personnel information assurance (IA) training and ensure training is completed in a timely manner prior to granting access to ISs, networks, and/or SI information.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information in accordance with the provided DD Form 254, DoD Contract Security Classification Specification, if required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, political science, information technology
  • Minimum 5-10 years professional work experience as a project manager, management analyst.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • High degree of curiosity and structured problem-solving skills
  • Must have computer skills and ability to learn and adopt tools that may be new: We primarily utilize Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities with clear grammar, structure, and cohesive thought. 
  • Knowledge of federal contracting IT services and contract performance preferred. 
  • US Citizenship required.

Physical Demands

Work is primarily indoors in an office setting. No unusual physical activity is required. However, you may travel within Alaska, and in doing so will expose the employee to extreme cold: temperatures typically -10 up to -50 degrees below freezing wind chill for periods of up to 5 hours outside, with frequent breaks in warm dry areas. Employee must be able to lift their personal luggage and any personal equipment/supplies and climb into and out of small planes with confined spaces.
