Akiak Technology is looking for a Junior Full Stack Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate has a firm understanding of web frameworks, APIs, databases, and multiple languages. They can get up to speed quickly on and contribute to new software development projects and enjoy solving complex problems in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate for the Jr. full stack developer role will have worked and been hands on with a wide range of projects in their previous role.
Responsibilities:
- Expertise engineering scalable, high-performing web applications using various languages and frameworks like JSON, React, Angular, Ruby, Python
- Expertise in relational databases like PostgreSQL
- Expertise creating, documenting, and consuming APIs
- Expertise using version control like GitHub
- Expertise setting up and using CI/CD tools like Jenkins
- Experience deploying applications to one or more cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary Agile team environment
- Ability to apply Agile software engineering principles and practices
- Ability to select and use the best tool for the job with a focus on open-source solutions
- Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred qualifications
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent experience
- A U.S. Citizen
- This is a position of public trust and requires a government background investigation for a low to moderate risk position.
