Alexandria, VA – July 3, 2026 – Akiak NS, LLC (Akiak NS), a tribal-owned SBA-certified 8(a), HUBZone Mentor-Protégé Joint Venture, announced its award on the NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement VI (SEWP-VI) contract vehicle, valued at $60B, and one of the most heavily used IT GWACs in federal procurement history across agencies such as the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, Verterans Affairs, and Health and Human Services. All federal agencies can place orders through SEWP VI with unlimited ordering potential.
The NASA SEWP vehicle is divided into three service categories. In all, NASA chose 1,490 vendors and made 2,115 awards across three categories. Akiak NS was awarded positions in both Category B (IT Services) and Category C (professional services), with ordering expected to open November 1, 2026. This award is particularly significant for Akiak NS as one of the few SBA 8(a) Certified Tribal Owned small businesses selected in both categories – a distinction that matters to contracting officers who operate under set-aside procurement preferences increasingly emphasized by federal policy.
